„His mouth is out of control, he’s embarrassing the club.“

Sometimes pictures say more than words. Especially on one of the biggest football stages, the „Theater der Träume“, the legendary stadium Old Trafford in Manchester. During the half-time break, cameras showed a laughing United coach José Mourinho (55) in the catacombs. Before the players returned to the pitch in the Champions League match between Manchester and FC Valencia, the Portuguese joked, embraced heartily – but not his own player, but Dani Parejo, the captain of his opponent. When the United-Stars arrived, they passed the coach with a stare.

Manchester United are on ice. Between players and coaches, between club leaders and coaches, and now also between fans and coaches.

The 0-0 defeat of Valencia, poor in highlights, has aggravated the crisis in the club, in the final phase the fans demanded „attack, attack, attack“ (attack!), after the final whistle there were boo calls. In the Premier League the Red Devils are only on 10th place. Mourinho’s days seem to be numbered. Club legend Paul Scholes said as a TV expert: „I’m surprised that he survived Saturday, as bad as the performance was there“. United had lost 3-1 to West Ham over the weekend, it was their third league defeat and they were kicked out of the Carabao Cup at home against a second division team.

Scholes continued: „He’s constantly messing with his own players. He messes with his superiors because he doesn’t get what he wants. I think his mouth is out of control, he’s embarrassing the club.“

Mourinho let the criticism stand – unusual for him – and merely said: „He can say what he wants. That doesn’t interest me. Honestly, it doesn’t interest me. Freedom of expression, it is a free country. You can say what you want.“

Officially, the stars are behind Mourinho. Captain Antonio Valencia answered the question of whether the players were behind the coach after the Valencia game with the words: „100 percent. He’s our boss, we have to stand behind him, we fight together„.

That the inner truth looks different is shown by the fact that Valencia later liked an explosive instagram post from the „Teamvalencia25“ fan account. It said, „You’re not even surprised at the outcome of this game. You look forward to the games every time, but Mourinho has recently made sure that it’s just a punishment to watch it. Something has to change. It’s time for Mourinho to go.“

The next day Valencia apologised. He only saw the photo and didn’t read the text. The statement does not correspond to his point of view.

According to English media reports, Valencia is one of many players who have practically no relationship with Mourinho. Superstar Paul Pogba, too, has only the bare essentials to talk to the coach, who recently told him that Pogba would never wear the captain’s armband again. With Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford, there are other players with whom Mourinho has had a change of heart.

Mourinho and the third season of his tenure – already with Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid the employment ended after this period. Problem for ManUnited: A separation from the star coach will be expensive. Mourinho’s contract runs until 2020, the club has an option for another year. The annual salary should be around 15 million euros. To know a lot of Jackpot247 Review, read this.
